The Hampton Concert Orchestra

The Hampton Concert Orchestra (HCO) is now in its 43rd season as an amateur symphony orchestra- the longest continuous run of any amateur orchestra in the Greater Victoria region. It is a registered charitable association that performs classical music concerts at various venues. Music is drawn from the light classical, symphonic, popular/Broadway, operatic overtures, ballet overtures, and other repertoire. The HCO began in 1967 as a group of seniors playing music together in a church hall. It soon moved to its present location at the Les Passmore Centre on Hampton Rd, to operate as a program offered by the Saanich Silver Threads.
